The two solutions, based on the unique Plant Stimulating Peptides Technology, have been granted with the CE mark as non-microbial plant biostimulants under the new European Fertilizing Products Regulation thanks to their effectiveness and safety.
In March 2023 Aquamin, powered by Plant Stimulating Peptides (PSP) technology, was Hello Nature’s first biostimulant, and one among the firsts in the market to have been officially registered in the European Union as a “Non-Microbial Plant Biostimulant” under the EU Fertilizing Products Regulation 2019/1009 (FPR).
Now also Trainer, a well-known biostimulant with more than 10 years of market presence and based on PSP technology, has equally been granted with the CE mark, allowing to complete the registration of Hello Nature’s leading technology for biostimulant products based on vegetal protein hydrolysates. Following this milestone, Aquamin and Trainer, became the first biostimulants based on vegetal protein hydrolysates officially registered in Europe.
Thanks to the fact that Hello Nature products are based on protein hydrolysates 100% of vegetal origin the CE mark was obtained just a few months after the entry into force of the EU Regulation 2019/1009 and this is, indeed, a great achievement since it will allow to bring biostimulant solutions to the European market in a quick, guaranteed, and secure way. In fact, the CE mark allows the products to be marketed in all member states of the European Union.
Aquamin and Trainer have been certified for the claim “Improvement of nutrient use efficiency” for application on several crops like vegetables, fruit trees, berries, cereals, oilseeds and protein crops. Thanks to its proven effectiveness in improving the use efficiency of nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, the PSP technology allows to reduce the application dose of fertilizers, supporting environmental protection and at the same time ensuring productivity and profitability of farmers.
Aquamin is a concentrated biostimulant in powder formulation which is ideal for fertigation (soil or soil less conditions) and foliar application, while Trainer is a liquid biostimulant suitable for foliar application and has a high miscibility rate. Both products contain biologically active peptides (PSP) which, unlike free amino acids, have a more prominent, assured, and natural biostimulant effect to enhance nutrient absorption and increase fertilizer efficiency. They are also both suitable for organic farming and are certified ECOCERT.
Plant Biostimulants with the CE mark are assessed by an independent Notified Body and therefore meet the EU safety, health and environmental protection requirements, as well as the effects claimed on the labels which have been demonstrated and validated through agronomic efficacy trials.
This certification represents an additional guarantee for customers and farmers both in terms of safety, quality and effectiveness. It is a clear demonstration that Hello Nature is ready and excited to bring its knowledge, experience, and values to serve this new chapter of the European agriculture.
The CE mark is a major revolution for the biostimulant sector in Europe opening the use and commercialization of registered and certified products, a step which represents a great innovation for the entire agri-food chain.
