Copper (Cu) is an essential micronutrient and plant protection agent, but its low bioavailability in soil can limit plant development. To address this, a study evaluated the effects of vegetal protein hydrolysate (VPH), free Cu, Cu complexed with vegetal peptides and amino acids (Cu-VPH), and their combination (VPH+Cu-VPH) under protected cultivation conditions. The results demonstrate that <strong data-start=\"1030\" data-end=\"1068\">Copper Boosts Biostimulant Effects<\/strong> while improving overall plant growth and productivity.<\/p><p data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1557\"><strong data-start=\"1127\" data-end=\"1207\">Yield and Photosynthetic Performance \u2013 Copper Enhances Biostimulant Activity<\/strong><br data-start=\"1207\" data-end=\"1210\" \/>The combined application of VPH+Cu-VPH significantly increased fresh yield by 16.3% compared to control and Cu-only treatments. Photosynthetic efficiency improved, with ACO2 and Fv\/Fm increasing by 29% and 7%, respectively. These results show that copper can enhance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hello-nature.com\/int\/biostimulants-psp\/\">biostimulant<\/a> activity, improving photosynthesis and overall plant performance.<\/p><p data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"2017\"><strong data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1635\">Enhanced Mineral Uptake through Copper Improves Biostimulant Performance<\/strong><br data-start=\"1635\" data-end=\"1638\" \/>Mineral analysis revealed that Cu and Cu-VPH treatments increased Cu content in plant tissues, while VPH+Cu-VPH also elevated Mg, Mn, Ca, and Fe by 23%, 21%, 25%, and 32%, supporting chlorophyll synthesis, water splitting, and photosynthetic electron transport. This demonstrates that copper improves biostimulant performance by enhancing nutrient assimilation and plant vigor.<\/p><p data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2367\"><strong data-start=\"2019\" data-end=\"2069\">Phytochemical Modulation and Stress Mitigation<\/strong><br data-start=\"2069\" data-end=\"2072\" \/>Untargeted metabolomics showed that Cu treatment alone led to accumulation of alkaloids, terpenoids, and phenylpropanoids, indicating oxidative stress. In contrast, Cu-VPH and VPH+Cu-VPH reduced stress-related metabolites, mitigating oxidative stress and promoting healthier plant development.<\/p><p data-start=\"2369\" data-end=\"2746\"><strong data-start=\"2369\" data-end=\"2428\">Conclusion: Copper Boosts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hello-nature.com\/int\/biostimulants-psp\/\">Biostimulant<\/a> Effects in Basil<\/strong><br data-start=\"2428\" data-end=\"2431\" \/>Combining Cu and VPH demonstrates that <strong data-start=\"2470\" data-end=\"2508\">Copper Boosts Biostimulant Effects<\/strong>, optimizing basil agronomic performance.
