This study investigated these effects using laboratory bioassays and greenhouse trials to evaluate hormone-like activity and crop productivity.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"764\">Laboratory Bioassays Confirm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hello-nature.com\/int\/biostimulants-psp\/\">Biostimulant<\/a> Activity<\/h4><p data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"1248\">Two laboratory experiments highlighted the impact of plant proteins on growth. In corn (<em data-start=\"854\" data-end=\"867\">Zea mays L.<\/em>), coleoptile elongation significantly increased with protein treatments, showing a dose-dependent response similar to indole-3-acetic acid. Tomato cuttings also exhibited improved rooting, with shoot and root dry weight, root length, and root area increasing by 21\u201335% at 6 ml\/L. These results demonstrate the auxin-like activity behind the biostimulant effects of plant proteins.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1250\" data-end=\"1320\">Greenhouse Trials Demonstrate Enhanced Growth and Nitrogen Uptake<\/h4><p data-start=\"1322\" data-end=\"1760\">Greenhouse experiments confirmed positive growth responses in dwarf pea (<em data-start=\"1395\" data-end=\"1413\">Pisum sativum L.<\/em>) and tomato (<em data-start=\"1427\" data-end=\"1452\">Solanum lycopersicum L.<\/em>). Shoot length in dwarf pea increased by 33%, while tomato plants treated with protein solutions up to 10 ml\/L showed increases of 20.5% in total dry biomass, 15% in SPAD index, and 21.5% in leaf nitrogen content. This evidence reinforces the beneficial role of plant proteins in promoting crop development.<\/p><h4 data-start=\"1762\" data-end=\"1806\">Mechanisms Behind <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hello-nature.com\/int\/biostimulants-psp\/\">Biostimulant<\/a> Activity<\/h4><p data-start=\"1808\" data-end=\"2093\">The growth-promoting effects of plant proteins are mainly attributed to amino acids and small peptides that trigger hormone-like responses and enhance nutrient absorption.
