Farmers are constantly looking for ways to improve seed germination and early seedling growth, especially under challenging conditions like salt stress. This study explored the potential of Biostimulant &#8211;<strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"505\">Vegetal Protein Hydrolysate (VPH)<\/strong> as a natural seed priming treatment to enhance cucumber growth.<\/p><p data-start=\"573\" data-end=\"917\">Researchers tested two concentrations of VPH (<strong data-start=\"619\" data-end=\"640\">2 mL\/L and 4 mL\/L<\/strong>) under both normal and salt stress conditions, using water as a control treatment. The seeds were soaked for <strong data-start=\"750\" data-end=\"772\">4, 8, and 12 hours<\/strong>, and several important factors were observed, including <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"914\">germination rate, germination percentage, seedling vigor, and early growth traits<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"1502\">The results were promising. VPH treatments at lower concentrations significantly improved seed germination and early seedling development. The cucumber seeds primed with VPH showed <strong data-start=\"1100\" data-end=\"1174\">faster germination, stronger seedlings, and higher chlorophyll content<\/strong>, even under salt stress conditions, compared to those treated with just water. However, the duration of seed priming played a crucial role. Priming for <strong data-start=\"1327\" data-end=\"1343\">4 to 8 hours<\/strong> yielded the best results, while extending the soaking time to <strong data-start=\"1406\" data-end=\"1418\">12 hours<\/strong> had the opposite effect, causing stress and slowing down the germination process.<\/p><p data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1996\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">This research highlights the potential of VPH as a <strong data-start=\"1555\" data-end=\"1579\">natural biostimulant<\/strong> to enhance cucumber seed germination and early growth. By optimizing seed priming conditions, farmers can improve cucumber production, particularly in <strong data-start=\"1731\" data-end=\"1766\">greenhouses and plastic tunnels<\/strong>, where controlled environments make precision techniques even more effective.
