Moreover, their role in promoting sustainable agriculture is growing, even though the environmental impact of biostimulant applications remains largely unassessed.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"798\" data-end=\"881\">Environmental Assessment of Biostimulants for Sustainable Greenhouse Vegetables<\/h3><p data-start=\"883\" data-end=\"1396\">This study provides the first detailed evaluation of the environmental effects of using arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus <em data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1022\">Glomus intraradices<\/em> and vegetal-derived protein hydrolysates on greenhouse crops, particularly spinach and zucchini, under different fertilization strategies. A cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment (LCA) was carried out to measure the carbon footprint of cultivation processes up to harvest. By analyzing the entire production chain, we were able to identify key sustainability improvements.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1398\" data-end=\"1472\">Carbon Footprint Reduction with Biostimulants in Greenhouse Vegetables<\/h3><p data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1974\">The results demonstrated that <strong data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1559\">biostimulants for sustainable greenhouse vegetables<\/strong> significantly lowered CO2 equivalent emissions. Specifically, mycorrhization reduced zucchini carbon emissions by 12% under organic fertilization and 7% under mineral fertilization. Nevertheless, organic fertilization overall increased zucchini\u2019s carbon footprint by 52% compared to mineral fertilization. These findings highlight the importance of combining biostimulants with optimized fertilization practices.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1976\" data-end=\"2048\">Fertilization Optimization in Spinach with Biostimulant Applications<\/h3><p data-start=\"2050\" data-end=\"2470\">In spinach, increasing nitrogen from 15 to 45 kg N ha\u22121 led to higher CO2 emissions per ton of harvested leaves. However, when foliar protein hydrolysates were applied with reduced nitrogen input, emissions decreased by 4% compared to unfertilized plants receiving biostimulants. This demonstrates how <strong data-start=\"2352\" data-end=\"2407\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hello-nature.com\/int\/biostimulants-psp\/\">biostimulants<\/a> for sustainable greenhouse vegetables<\/strong> can help balance productivity and environmental performance.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"2472\" data-end=\"2533\">Supporting Sustainable Crop Production with Biostimulants<\/h3><p data-start=\"2535\" data-end=\"2891\">Overall, the study confirms that <strong data-start=\"2568\" data-end=\"2623\">biostimulants for sustainable greenhouse vegetables<\/strong> play a critical role in enhancing environmental sustainability.
