Biostimulant<\/a> Cherry: Plant-Based Growth<\/strong> solutions are increasingly explored to support sustainable sweet cherry cultivation. Sweet cherry is a high-value crop, and its profitability depends on yield, visual quality, and nutritional traits. In addition, post-harvest performance and resistance to fruit cracking are essential for market success. Therefore, growers are searching for effective strategies that combine performance with sustainability.<\/p>

The Role of Plant-Based Biostimulants<\/a> in Sweet Cherry Orchards<\/strong><\/h3>

For decades, cherry growers have relied on synthetic plant hormones and mineral inputs. However, concerns about environmental impact and long-term sustainability are growing. As a result, interest has shifted toward natural alternatives such as plant-based biostimulants. These products stimulate plant physiological processes while reducing dependency on synthetic growth regulators.<\/p>

In this context, tropical-plant extracts represent a promising solution. Moreover, they align well with modern agricultural practices focused on efficiency and environmental responsibility.<\/p>

Effects of Biostimulant Cherry: Plant-Based Growth on Yield and Fruit Quality<\/strong><\/h3>

A recent study evaluated the foliar application of a tropical-plant extract applied between full bloom and fruit set. Two major commercial cultivars, Kordia and Regina, were included. Compared with a commercial cytokinin-based control, Biostimulant Cherry: Plant-Based Growth<\/strong> significantly increased fruit yield in both cultivars.<\/p>

Additionally, the Kordia cultivar showed clear improvements in several quality parameters. Calcium concentration increased by 26.2%, while soluble solids content rose by 11.8%. Flesh firmness also improved by 6.7%. Furthermore, the proportion of fruits with mahogany skin color increased by 12.0%. Consequently, these changes contribute to better shelf life and higher consumer appeal.<\/p>

Overall, the results indicate that plant-based biostimulants can effectively support sweet cherry production.
